In automation, packaging, and conveyor systems, this inductive sensor is intended for contactless metal object identification and positioning control. A high-frequency electromagnetic field is produced by the rectangular, projecting sensor, which has a nominal switching range of 70 mm. When metal gets close to the sensor, it interrupts the oscillatory circuit and activates the output. With an operational voltage of 20–250 V AC/DC, two discrete outputs (1×NO and 1×NC, dry contacts) offer versatile alarm logic and simple connection to a relay or PLC.
